PRM Kiosk Configuration Application
Since the kiosk is completely configurable, there needed to be a way to change all of the settings in a central, easy to use place. But, since the kiosk is configurable, the configuration application also had to have a dynamic aspect to it. Therefore an MDI application was born, one that didn’t know which components belonged to the particular kiosk it was servicing. All of the child documents are actually controls that the configuration application loads dynamically via a database read, the application doesn’t know which modules are in the system, nor needs to. Each control handles it’s particular area and the application is just the container, which holds them. The application does handle the general tasks of the kiosk configuration like password accounts, module assignment, configuration types, etc.
